I was so excited to blog about our sailing adventures! Not to toot my horn, but I think we had a strong start. Ending a 7 year dream and plan with a 1500 mile trek across the Caribbean Sea during a worldwide pandemic? Solid material, even for an amateur blogger. Then we arrived. It was surreal (and disappointing to be honest) how quickly we got back to “real life”. Then I started thinking we weren’t really sailing, so I shouldn’t write on our sailing blog when we are tied to land.
Over the last couple of months of talking myself out of various topics, I have come to miss it. But I have also come to a few conclusions: 1) It’s my blog and just as you can choose to read it, I can choose to write it with whatever material I would like, 2) all of this beautiful, stressful, busy, exciting life is “sailing life” and 3) even for the cooking portions, I am going to try really, really hard not to be that person that gives a 10 paragraph story before the recipe. That’s annoying.
So I am recommitting myself to this blog. A huge part of it is me and for hubs. I want to share knowledge and adventures with our family, friends, and followers, but I also want to look back on this in 10 years. I hope at that point we will be living well somewhere fantastic, as we are now.
