I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog for awhile. Mostly because I believe in what we are doing and in the life we are building. I have also been a frequent blog follower and I am digitally invested in the blogs I support (skinnytaste.com, iowagirleats.com, damndelicious.com, theboatgalley.com – mostly food based). I want to be able to share information with fellow likeminded sailors and adventure seekers. We have spent countless hours pouring over websites, blogs, and forums over the last several years gathering information and learning from people who are ahead of us in their jouneys. Hopefully, friends and family can follow our adventures and the boating community can learn from our experiences.
For a reasonably intelligent person, there is so much I don’t know. I feel like every day I learn 2 new things and find at least 10 new things that I didn’t even know to think about. This is not exclusive to the sailing community. I am loving the journey (mostly) and the learning. I am tapping into parts of my brain that I didn’t know were there. It’s invigorating and exhausting and I hope it never stops.
